40 Days ~ 40 Hikes ~ Walking 4 Education
Here’s to 20 years of Democracy!
A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special. ~ Nelson Mandela
We rose bright and early to do our Sunday short walk to Top Dam. It was a crisp, clear morning and our faithful hound, Moya, joined the sister’s party of two.
The path heads off near the Forest Retreat Spa and we were lucky to spot a couple of bushbuck and fortunately Moya didn’t see a thing….
It’s a very gradual climb up along a couple of paths and watching the sun rise and the cliffs shine was gorgeous. We stopped briefly at the dams and loved the reflection of Sugar Loaf, then headed down via Cowslip Falls and home.
The fishermen were also out. Always so much to do in the great outdoors!
